[skill]hex eater vortex[/skill] needs more love.
Pretty situational, but in hex heavy areas, it's awesome.

HEV without a doubt. If I'm in a physical-heavy area, however, then it's all about Esurge.

My first elite ever was Energy Surge and since I got it, it rarely leaves my bar. I've tried out Mantra of Recovery but need to get better about keeping it up. I'm DYING to get Ineptitude and Migraine.

This is useful in PvE.
[skill]air of disenchantment[/skill]
Oh wait....
Nah, in PvE I usually go
[skill]enchanter's conundrum[/skill]
or
[skill]energy surge[/skill]

Why would you use E.Surge in a physical heavy area....

It used to be [skill=text]Mantra of Recovery[/skill] but now that has been nerfed to 33%;
[skill]Psychic instability[/skill] + [skill]Signet of Clumsiness[/skill] + [skill]Power Return[/skill]
Anything the hexed foe does, earns them 1.25 seconds of face planting, its fun.
[skill=text]Mantra of Recovery[/skill] still isn't bad though.

With all the warriors sins rangers and dervs and that rare Paragon running around in PVP I am starting to love [skill]Signet of Midnight[/skill] and it works well with my deadly arts build.
For PVE I love [skill]Fevered Dreams[/skill]

[skill]mantra of recovery[/skill] is still 1 of my favourite elites, even though it's been nerfed to 33% it still allows massive spamming of my favourite Domination skills, if I go Illusion I use a different elite.
in my opinion [skill]mantra of recovery[/skill] > [skill]echo[/skill] as it allows massive spamming of all skills not just 1 chosen skill, that is assuming you're echoing Mesmer skills not [skill]meteor showers[/skill] or whatever.
other than [skill]mantra of recovery[/skill] , [skill]energy surge[/skill] still does good AoE damage, especially combined with [skill]arcane echo[/skill] although is most effective on caster mobs not melee(as they'll run out of energy too fast to make this really effective)
